Why CRS Scores Matter

Canada uses CRS to find the best candidates for permanent residency. The scoring system looks at age, work experience, education, and language skills. These factors help predict if someone will do well in Canada’s job market.

Government research shows this system works well. A 2020 report said immigrants selected through Express Entry had high job success, good pay, and low unemployment. This shows CRS helps bring skilled and successful newcomers to Canada.
