What Is Express Entry
Express Entry is a system that Canada uses to invite skilled workers for permanent residence. It includes different programs like the Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Some draws also focus on people with strong French skills or those working in key job sectors.
Recent Draw Highlights
This June 4 draw is the second of the month. Earlier, on June 2, Canada held a draw for PNP applicants, inviting 277 people with high CRS scores. In May, Canada held several other draws:
Other draws this year have focused on French-speaking candidates and those with Canadian work experience.

This shows a strong focus on PNP and candidates with Canadian work experience. However, sector-based draws like healthcare are also increasing.
Application Process and Timelines
Once someone receives an invitation, they have 60 days to submit their full application for permanent residence. The government usually takes up to six months to process a completed application.
Candidates must make sure their Express Entry profile stays active. A profile stays valid for one year. If someone doesn’t receive an invitation within that time, they can submit a new profile. The new submission gets a fresh timestamp and may affect selection based on Canada’s tie-breaking rule.
