New Advanced Canada Workers Benefit Payments To Arrive October 10

Canadians earning lower or moderate incomes will receive their next Advanced Canada Workers Benefit payment on October 10, 2025.

Many working Canadians will soon see extra money in their bank accounts. The next Advanced Canada Workers Benefit (ACWB) payment goes out on October 10, 2025, giving another round of support to low- and moderate-income earners.

After an increase earlier this year, the benefit now provides more money for eligible workers and families. The government raised the Canada Workers Benefit (CWB) in July 2025, meaning this upcoming payment will be higher than before.

Singles can receive up to $1,633, while families can get up to $2,813. Those who qualify for the disability supplement may receive another $843.

What Is the Advanced Canada Workers Benefit?

The Advanced Canada Workers Benefit gives eligible workers up to 50% of their yearly CWB in advance payments. The government pays this amount in three installments during the year.

These automatic payments go to people who have filed their tax returns and qualified for the CWB. No separate application is required. The rest of the benefit comes after tax time, depending on income and family details.

Upcoming Payment Dates

Canadians can expect ACWB payments on the following dates:

  • October 10, 2025
  • January 12, 2026
  • July 12, 2026
  • October 12, 2026

If a date falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment goes out on the business day before. The October payment marks the final installment for 2025.

How Much Will You Get?

Each ACWB payment represents about one-third of the total advance portion—around 16–17% of the annual CWB amount.

Most single workers can expect between $250 and $300. Families could receive $400 to $500, and people who qualify for the disability supplement may get an extra $120 to $150.

Exact amounts depend on several factors, such as income, province, and family size.

Who Qualifies for the Benefit?

You can receive the Canada Workers Benefit if you:

  • Earned income from work or self-employment
  • Lived in Canada all year
  • Are at least 19 years old, or live with a spouse, partner, or child
  • Earn less than your province or territory’s income limit

You won’t qualify if you were a full-time student for more than 13 weeks without dependents, had tax-exempt income, or were in prison for 90 days or more.

Your spouse or partner must also meet these conditions. A dependent must be your child or your partner’s child, live with you, and be under 19 years old.

Disability Supplement

Those who qualify for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and have an approved Form T2201 can receive an additional supplement. This adds up to $821 for singles and families, depending on income. A portion of this amount is included in each ACWB payment.

Why This Payment Matters

The Advanced Canada Workers Benefit helps people who work but earn modest wages. It rewards effort and eases financial pressure as living costs continue to rise. For many Canadians, this October payment will arrive at an important time—just before winter expenses begin to grow.

Workers should ensure their CRA information and direct deposit details are up to date to avoid any delays.

The next payment cycle begins in January 2026, continuing to support hardworking Canadians who need extra help making ends meet.
