Manitoba Invites 124 Skilled Workers in Latest PNP Draw

Manitoba has issued new provincial immigration invitations through targeted skilled worker recruitment initiatives.

Manitoba issued 124 Letters of Advice to Apply on June 18, 2026, through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.

The invitations went to candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways. All candidates invited in this round had either been directly invited by the province through a strategic recruitment initiative or held Manitoba-supported work permits.

This was Manitoba’s 12th provincial immigration draw of the year. All draws so far in 2026 have taken place through the Skilled Worker Stream.

Employer Services Receives Most Invitations

The largest number of invitations went to candidates selected through the Employer Services initiative.

Manitoba issued 49 invitations under Employer Services. Another 32 invitations went to candidates connected to the Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates, also known as TPP.

Regional Communities received 19 invitations, while the Francophone Community received 15. Ethnocultural Communities received nine invitations.

Of the 124 total invitations, 22 went to candidates who had a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

Who Was Considered In This Draw

To be considered, candidates had to show in their Expression of Interest profile that they had been invited through a recruitment mission or through the now-expired TPP.

On May 1, 2026, Manitoba said it would begin targeted Expression of Interest draws for people who had received Support Letters under the TPP. The province said it would start with candidates whose letters were approved between April 22 and June 30, 2025.

Some candidates may not have received an invitation even if they appeared to meet the draw requirements.

Manitoba said this could happen if a candidate listed an approved English or French language test but entered a missing or invalid test identification number. Candidates could also be excluded if their language test results were no longer valid.

The province also said candidates who claimed a strategic recruitment invitation had to provide a valid invitation number.

Manitoba’s 2026 Immigration Numbers

As of June 18, Manitoba has issued 1,833 invitations to apply for provincial nomination in 2026.

The federal government gave Manitoba a nomination allocation of 6,239 for this year. As of May, the province had nominated 2,165 skilled workers, according to Manitoba government data.

The difference between invitations issued and nominations approved may be linked to applications from candidates who received invitations in 2025.

Recent Program Changes

Manitoba also made recent changes to other immigration pathways.

On June 11, 2026, the province closed the Career Employment Pathway under the International Education Stream. The closure took effect immediately. Former candidates in that pathway with at least six months of Manitoba work experience were encouraged to move to the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway and update their Expression of Interest profiles.

On April 14, 2026, Manitoba introduced temporary measures to support rural employers outside the Winnipeg Census Metropolitan Area. These measures allow some employers to keep their current share of low-wage Temporary Foreign Worker positions above the usual cap. They also raise the cap for low-wage positions to 15 per cent, up from the usual 10 per cent.

The measures are expected to remain in place until March 31, 2027, under a federal temporary public policy for participating provinces.
