Ontario Sends Thousands Of Invitations For Provincial Immigration Program

Ontario sends 2,643 immigration invitations through three PNP streams.

Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) held some of its largest draws of the year on September 2. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 2,643 invitations across three streams: Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills.

Focus on Priority Jobs
The draws targeted candidates currently living in Canada and working in priority healthcare jobs. Early childhood educators and assistants also qualified. All profiles considered were created between July 2, 2025, and September 2, 2025.

Draw Results

  • Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker – 1,305 invitations, minimum score 41.
  • Employer Job Offer: International Student – 1,105 invitations, minimum score 58.
  • Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills – 233 invitations, minimum score 33.

Candidates in the Foreign Worker and International Student streams needed a job offer in specific National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes. These included specialists in medicine, nurses, physician assistants, midwives, and early childhood educators. The In-Demand Skills stream targeted home support workers and housekeepers under NOC 44101.

Next Steps for Candidates
Candidates who received invitations must submit a complete application for provincial nomination. Once nominated, they can apply to the federal government for permanent residence.

OINP’s New EOI System
Since July 2, 2025, all Employer Job Offer applications must be submitted through the Employer Portal. This shifts responsibility from candidates to employers. Only job offers submitted via the portal and successfully registered through the new Expression of Interest (EOI) system are eligible for OINP draws. Candidates who created EOIs before July 2 must re-submit through the portal with their employers.

Ontario’s latest draws reflect its commitment to welcoming skilled workers in essential roles. The PNP continues to offer clear pathways to permanent residence for healthcare professionals and in-demand occupations.
