Express Entry: PNP Candidates Receive New PR Invitations in Canada

Canada has invited 324 candidates nominated by provinces to apply for permanent residence in its most recent Express Entry draw.

Canada’s immigration department has issued new invitations to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry system. In the latest round, officials selected 324 candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Candidates needed a minimum score of 786 under the Comprehensive Ranking System to qualify. They also had to submit their Express Entry profiles before 6:53 p.m. UTC on November 19, 2025.

Strong Focus on Provincial Nominees

This latest round marks the eighth PNP-specific draw held this year. It also stands as the twenty-first Express Entry draw conducted in 2026 so far.

Provincial nominees continue to receive steady attention throughout the year. Immigration authorities have held more PNP draws than any other category. This trend shows a clear effort to bring in candidates who already hold nominations from provinces and territories.

Recent Draw Trends Show Clear Pattern

Over the past few months, the immigration system has run several types of draws. These include selections for candidates with Canadian work experience, French-language skills, and specific occupations such as healthcare workers and tradespeople.

However, PNP draws have remained the most frequent. Other categories, such as the Canadian Experience Class, have also received regular attention, with multiple large draws inviting thousands of candidates.

High CRS Scores Remain Key for PNP Candidates

Candidates in PNP draws usually require higher scores compared to other categories. The latest cut-off score of 786 reflects this pattern. Provincial nominations add significant points to a candidate’s profile, which raises the overall score requirement.

Earlier draws this year have also shown similar trends, with PNP cut-off scores often exceeding 700. This keeps competition strong among applicants aiming for permanent residence through this pathway.

Canada Prioritizes Candidates Already in the Country

This year, immigration officials have focused heavily on candidates who already live and work in Canada. Many draws have targeted those with Canadian work experience or provincial nominations.

This approach supports individuals who have already settled into Canadian communities and workplaces. It also helps provinces meet local labour needs by selecting candidates suited to their economies.

Thousands of Invitations Issued in 2026

So far in 2026, Canada has issued more than 59,000 invitations through Express Entry. The largest share has gone to candidates in the Canadian Experience Class, followed by those with strong French-language skills.

PNP candidates have received over 3,200 invitations this year. While this number remains smaller than some other categories, the consistent draws show steady opportunities for those with provincial nominations.

What This Means for Applicants

The latest draw highlights the importance of strong profiles and early application submission. Candidates who secure provincial nominations continue to improve their chances significantly.

As Canada maintains its current selection pattern, applicants with ties to provinces or Canadian work experience may find better opportunities in upcoming draws.
