Quebec’s latest PSTQ draw selected candidates across all four streams, with most invitations going to intermediate and manual workers.
Quebec has issued 501 invitations to immigration candidates through its Skilled Worker Selection Program, known as the PSTQ.
The Ministry of Immigration, Francisation and Integration held the latest selection round on July 3. Candidates were chosen from Quebec’s Arrima pool as part of the province’s pathway for skilled workers who want to settle permanently in Quebec.
This was Quebec’s sixth PSTQ selection round of 2026. It also issued the fewest invitations so far this year.
The July 3 round included candidates from all four PSTQ streams. Selections were made from the Arrima pool on June 26, 2026, at 10:53 a.m.
The largest number of invitations went to Stream 2, which covers intermediate and manual skills. This stream received 289 invitations.
Stream 1, for highly qualified and specialized workers, received 74 invitations. Stream 3, for regulated professions, received 131 invitations. Stream 4, for candidates with exceptional talent, received seven invitations.
Stream 2 candidates made up the largest share of the draw. These candidates work in TEER 3, 4 or 5 occupations and currently live in Quebec.
The province issued 35 invitations under the first Stream 2 exercise, which focused on candidates with a qualifying diploma, work experience, and priority occupations in TEER 3.
Another 14 invitations went to candidates with a qualifying diploma, work experience, and priority occupations in TEER 3 to 5.
The biggest group in this stream came from the third exercise, where 240 invitations went to candidates with a qualifying diploma and a main occupation in TEER 4 or 5.
Under Stream 1, Quebec invited 74 candidates working in TEER 0, 1 or 2 occupations. These candidates had to live in Quebec and have at least 12 months of work experience within the last five years.
The invitations were divided across three exercises, with 31, five and 38 invitations issued.
Stream 3 focused on candidates planning to work in regulated professions. Quebec issued 131 invitations under this stream across four exercises. Most went to candidates in priority TEER 1 and 2 occupations.
The first two exercises under Stream 3 issued 84 and 41 invitations. The remaining two exercises each issued fewer than five invitations.
Quebec also issued seven invitations under Stream 4, which is designed for candidates with exceptional talent.
These candidates needed at least 36 months of work experience in the last five years. They also required a positive opinion from a MIFI partner in one of several targeted areas, including strategic economic sectors, research, arts or sports.
The PSTQ is Quebec’s main economic immigration pathway for skilled workers.
Candidates first submit a declaration of interest through Arrima. Their profile is then entered into Quebec’s database and reviewed based on factors linked to successful economic and social integration.
Candidates who are invited may apply for permanent selection. If approved, they receive a Quebec Selection Certificate, also called a CSQ. They can then apply to the federal government for permanent residence.
