IRCC invited 500 senior managers with Canadian work experience in its latest Express Entry round.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has held another Express Entry draw, this time inviting senior managers with Canadian work experience to apply for permanent residence.
IRCC issued 500 invitations to apply on July 10. Candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 392 to be considered. They also needed to have created their Express Entry profile before 1:46 a.m. UTC on March 15, 2026.
The July 10 draw was only the second Express Entry round in 2026 aimed at senior managers with Canadian work experience.
The first such draw took place on March 5, when IRCC invited 250 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 429. The latest draw had a much lower cut-off score of 392, a drop of 37 points.
The lower threshold may be important for candidates in management roles who have Canadian work experience but may not have reached the higher scores seen in other recent rounds.
IRCC has been active in early July. On July 9, it invited 5,000 candidates through a French-language proficiency draw with a CRS cut-off score of 420. On July 7, the department issued 2,000 invitations under the Canadian Experience Class, with a cut-off score of 517.
A Provincial Nominee Program draw was also held on July 6. That round issued 534 invitations and had a higher CRS cut-off score of 708, which is common for PNP draws because nominees receive extra CRS points.
The senior manager draw stands out because its CRS score was much lower than many other recent Express Entry rounds.
So far in 2026, IRCC has held 38 Express Entry draws. The pattern shows a clear focus on candidates who already have ties to Canada, especially those with Canadian work experience or provincial nominations.
Canadian Experience Class candidates have received the highest number of invitations this year, with 43,250 ITAs issued across 11 draws. French-language proficiency draws have also remained a major part of the system, with 35,500 invitations issued through seven draws.
Provincial Nominee Program draws have been the most frequent by number of rounds, with 13 draws so far. These have resulted in 5,939 invitations.
Across all Express Entry categories in 2026, IRCC has issued 92,101 invitations to apply.
Healthcare and social services candidates have received 8,000 invitations across two draws. Trades candidates have received 3,000 invitations from one draw. Physicians with Canadian work experience have received 662 invitations through two draws.
Senior managers with Canadian work experience have now received 750 invitations in total this year, including 250 in March and 500 in the latest July round.
The latest draw may bring fresh hope to senior managers already working in Canada. A CRS score of 392 is much lower than the cut-offs seen in many Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program rounds this year.
Candidates who meet the draw conditions and receive an ITA can now submit a complete application for permanent residence. Those who were not invited may want to keep their profile updated and watch for future category-based or program-specific rounds.
