Skilled Workers Lead Quebec’s Latest Immigration Draw

Quebec has issued new invitations to skilled worker candidates through all four streams of its immigration selection program.

Quebec invited 2,549 immigration candidates to apply for permanent selection in a new draw held on June 4, 2026.

The invitations were issued under the Skilled Worker Selection Program, known as the Programme de sélection des travailleurs qualifiés, or PSTQ. This was Quebec’s fifth immigration selection round of the year.

Candidates were selected from the Arrima pool as it stood on June 1, 2026, at 6:00 a.m.

The largest share of invitations went to workers with highly qualified and specialized skills. This group received 1,094 invitations, making up 42.9 per cent of the total draw.

Highly Qualified Workers Receive Most Invitations

Under Stream 1, Quebec invited candidates in occupations listed under TEER 0, 1, or 2. These candidates had to be living in Quebec and needed at least 12 months of work experience within the last five years.

A total of 1,094 invitations were issued across four selection exercises in this stream.

The invitations included 459 candidates with a qualifying Quebec diploma, 239 candidates with a Quebec diploma and a priority occupation under TEER 1 or 2, 165 candidates with a Quebec diploma and a priority occupation under TEER 0 to 2, and 231 candidates with a qualifying Quebec diploma.

Candidates in this stream also had to meet French language requirements. They needed level 7 or higher in oral French and level 5 or higher in written French. Accompanying spouses, where applicable, needed level 4 or higher in oral French.

Intermediate and Manual Workers Also Selected

Quebec also issued 756 invitations under Stream 2, which is for intermediate and manual skills.

These candidates had occupations listed under TEER 3, 4, or 5. They had to be living in Quebec and needed 24 months of work experience in the last five years, including 12 months in the province.

The stream included four exercises. Quebec invited 229 candidates with a qualifying Quebec diploma, 256 candidates with a Quebec diploma and a TEER 3 priority occupation, 90 candidates with a priority occupation under TEER 3 to 5, and 181 candidates with a qualifying Quebec diploma.

Candidates in this stream needed level 5 or higher in oral French. Accompanying spouses had to show level 4 or higher in oral French.

They also needed education equal to a Quebec high school diploma, a two-year post-secondary program, or a qualifying one-year full-time program.

Regulated Professions and Exceptional Talent Included

Stream 3, for regulated professions, received 677 invitations across five exercises. Candidates had to be living in Quebec and working in a regulated profession listed by the Ministère.

The largest group in this stream was made up of priority occupation candidates under TEER 1 and 2, who received 393 invitations.

Stream 4, for exceptional talent, received 22 invitations. Of these, 17 went to candidates with a positive opinion letter, while five went to candidates with exceptional achievements and a doctorate.
