Manitoba invited 104 skilled worker candidates through strategic recruitment pathways in its first June draw.
Manitoba issued 104 invitations to skilled worker candidates in its first provincial immigration draw of June.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, known as the MPNP, held the draw on June 4, 2026. The province invited foreign nationals to apply for provincial nomination through the Skilled Worker Stream.
The invitations, called Letters of Advice to Apply or LAAs, went to candidates who had declared that they were directly invited by the MPNP through a strategic recruitment initiative.
This was Manitoba’s 11th provincial immigration draw of 2026.
The 104 LAAs were issued through both pathways under the Skilled Worker Stream. These were Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas.
To be considered, candidates needed to show in their Expression of Interest profile that they had received an invitation through a recruitment mission or through the now-expired Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates, also known as the TPP.
The largest share of invitations went to candidates under the Employer Services initiative.
Manitoba issued 40 LAAs through Employer Services, representing 38.5 per cent of all invitations in the draw.
The TPP group received 39 LAAs, or 37.5 per cent of the total. Francophone Community candidates received 17 LAAs, while Ethnocultural Communities received six. Regional Communities received two invitations.
Of the 104 total invitations, 15 went to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry number and job seeker validation code.
Manitoba also explained why some candidates who appeared to meet the draw criteria may not have received an LAA.
Some may have listed an approved English or French language test in their Expression of Interest profile but failed to provide a valid test identification number. Others may have had language test results that had already expired.
Candidates may also have been excluded if they claimed an invitation through a strategic recruitment initiative but did not provide a valid invitation number.
The province also noted that some TPP work permit holders may not have received an invitation yet. This applies to those whose Manitoba Support Letters were approved after June 30, 2025. Manitoba said it is starting with support letters approved before that date.
As of June 4, Manitoba has issued 1,709 LAAs in 2026.
All of these invitations have been issued through the Skilled Worker Stream.
The MPNP also publishes monthly figures for the Skilled Worker Stream. These include the number of Expression of Interest profiles drawn, nominations issued, applications received, applications under assessment or pending assessment, and refused applications.
At the time of the report, the latest available 2026 figures covered January through April.
The June 4 draw shows Manitoba’s continued focus on candidates connected to strategic recruitment, employer needs, Francophone communities, ethnocultural communities, and regional labour priorities.
